However, with the recently approval and availability of the first indigenous TAVR valve Myval, the cost of the valve can be reduced to half as compared to the Western counterparts. Also, the cost for the acute implantation hospital stay is nearly similar for both SAVR and TAVR, where cost of SAVR is driven by post-operative care. The latter cost may vary with the type of hospital as it is based on the type of services offered at the hospital. So, all in all, after taking into consideration the cost of the TAVR device, the type of hospital and post-surgical care charges too play a big role in deciding the overall cost of TAVR surgery in India .
